Based in Venice, California, Dr. Rachel Wellner is a board-certified surgeon who has driven operations at Caelum Diagnostic Solutions, Inc., since establishing the medical and research services provider in 2016. She previously served as an attending breast surgeon and assistant clinical professor at the Montefiore Medical Center. As the highest-ranking breast surgeon at the medical center, Dr. Rachel Wellner was responsible for restructuring the Montefiore-Einstein Center for Cancer Care.

Dr. Rachel Wellner graduated magna cum laude from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She completed a general surgery internship and residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City before joining a breast surgery fellowship at the John Wayne Cancer Institute. She also holds a master of public health from the Columbia University Joseph L. Mailman School of Public Health. Her professional affiliations include the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the Society of Surgical Oncology.

Dr. Wellner’s interests outside of medicine include writing and playing the piano, along with several other instruments. She also enjoys staying active by playing tennis and practicing yoga.
